Creamy Butter Chicken (Wet)



It's been a long long time that I didn't eat and cook this dish anymore. Normally at the restaurant, I will order a dry version of butter chicken, but not the wet type. Cause I love the dry egg part, so yummy! 

Few days ago, a friend of mine in facebook was asking me how to cook the wet version butter chicken . Since it's been a long time that I didn't eat it, and.....and the next day.. I straight away bought the ingredients. The happy thing for this dish are the ingredients can be gotten easily from the supermarket. 

I did this together with my boyfriend. He fried the chicken, and I get ready the remaining seasoning. 2 person cooking one dish, makes the work faster, and I can eat the dish faster too :P hehehe.  But, it also got the disadvantage, normally when I fry the chicken alone, I will 'taste' it...don't care whether it's hot or not. But now, can't taste it anymore T^T He will scold me!

This dishes is worth trying. Easy, simple and yummy. Unless you don't like the wet version of butter chicken. If you love it, you got to try this. It's almost the same taste as in the restaurant, better even! My brother said. Actually, I think this way too. Hehehe. Next time when I cook again, I will add more milk and pull up the chicken from the wok faster, but don't let the milk boil in the wok too long, cause the gravy will lessen! No way.... I love the gravy on my rice~~~

INGREDIENTS: 
Chicken Breast 1 (Mine is 630g, cut into cube size so that when frying the chicken, the juice will not dry out easily)
Curry leaves 9 bunch 
Chilies 4 (Medium size) - Depends
Garlic suitable
Evaporated Milk 300ml
Butter 1.5 tbsp

MARINATE with chicken for at least ONE HOUR
Curry powder 3 tsp
Sugar suitable
Oyster Sauce 1.5 tsp
Sesame Oil 1/2 tsp
Egg white 1.5 tbsp
Flour 1.5 tbsp
Salt 1/2 tsp

SEASONING
Curry powder 2 tsp
Chicken Stock 1/2 tsp
Sugar 3/4 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp

METHOD:
1. Fry the marinated chicken until it reach golden in colour. Left it aside.
2. Heat the wok, melt the butter. Add in garlic, curry leaves and chilies, stir fry until fragrant.
3. Add in evaporate milk and seasoning, let it boil, when the gravy start to get thick, add in fried chicken.
4. Stir it faster until all the chickens is fully surrounded by the gravy. DONE!

TIRAMISU (With video attached)




Tiramisu ([tiɾamiˈsu]Italian spelling: Tiramisù; lit. "pick me up" or "lift me up") is an Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers (Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee and alcohol, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks, egg whites and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with cocoa powder.

YUM!! This is the second time I made Tiramisu. The first time I make was few months ago. The recipe that I used was so bad. It felt like eating cream. Tons of cream! SO FAT T_T Straight away throw the recipe after that so that's why I din't upload it here. I will only upload yummy recipe =)




I found this Tiramisu recipe from facebook which was shared by a hong kong girl(I guess) with their video attached on it. Just looking at the video and I guarantee you can make your Tiramisu straight away. Yea it's true. With such an easy step and it can turned out into a simply yummy Tiramisu. I felt proud of myself when the time I sift cocoa powder on it. hehehe. 

Too bad, I only can make half of this recipe as my lady fingers were not enough. And it's not enough for my family member. It only can serve 3-4 peoples. The texture is quite smooth and I substitute mascarpone cheese with (cream cheese + 1tbsp yogurt) as I can't find good mascarpone cheese at my hometown here. For me, the taste is quite yummy. I just can't stop my mouth from eating it. Dessert? Such good food...but....can't eat more! =(

Mango Lassi





Lassi is a popular, traditional, yogurt based drink in Indian's Punjab. It can be prepared in two ways, sweet and salty.  I prefer a sweet one than salty one, i think? :P cause with the sweet one it comes with fruits. I love fruits! It will be better if got the fruit's pulp inside it. 

Lassi is so easy to prepare. You just need a blender and put everything into the blender and blend it. Then, DONE!! Since it's mango season now, so I am going to try it out with mango lassi. And it requires lots of yogurt which yogurt can be very expensive here, so I made it earlier. It not just to reduce the cost, I also can adjust the thickness and sweetness of my yogurt

INGREDIENTS:
2 large fully ripen mangoes (about 430g) - chilled, peeled, remove and cut into chunks.
8 Tbsp plain yogurt
4 Tbsp milk(Chilled)
6 small ice cubes(i ignored it)
3 Tbsp honey(more or less, depends on your sweetness of your mangoes)

METHOD:
Put everything in the blender and blend until smooth. Adjust the sweetness if necessary. Best to be consumed within a day. 

Tada~ It's DONE! so easy right! >.<

An easy way to make yogurt


Hey guys I am back to blog again! Gosh, been so so so busy with my real life recently! Anyway, today I am going to share with you a yogurt recipe which is very very easy to make.

Do you know you can make your own yogurt at home in just 10 minutes? And no machine is required? Yes! Believe your eyes dude! Before I learn baking I used to make yogurt all the time cause it is really easy. I don't really love store bought yogurt. They are too runny yet sweet and not much in it. And, they are quite costly when you want to use it for baking or cooking. For me, I prefer a sugarless but more sour yogurt. Just like Greek style yogurt.



Normally, When I make it, I wont add in extra sugar. It's depends on you actually. And, after I store it up, I prefer to store for at least 2 days or more cause I really love the thick texture. The longer you keep it, the thicker it will be. With so much yogurt, you can use it for salad dressing, or transform it into ice cream which I am going to try it out soon! ^^

Produced 1 liter of Yogurt
INGREDIENTS:
Milk 1 liter(I used full cream milk)
Yogurt 1

METHOD:


1. Separate milk into 500ml each. Heat up 500ml of milk just to boil it. Another 500ml remains the same.

2. Now pour hot milk to another part of milk, stir it. Add in yogurt and stir again. (At this point you can add in sugar if you prefer sweet one.) Sieve it to get a smooth and silky texture.
3. Put aside. Not fridge for at least 6 hours or more to let the bacteria grow in it's warm bed. 
4. If you don't like runny yogurt, let it ferment inside the fridge until it reach your desire. If you prefer runny, there you go!






Put it aside.

I choose to use full cream milk.

tada!!! :P
